Boating

The prevailing northwest winds in Monterey Bay make conditions ideal for sailing almost every day.

Cruising by sail or motor, boating is a great way to experience the sanctuary. Motorized Personal Watercraft

To help protect sensitive habitats and marine life, motorized personal watercraft may only be operated within five designated zones and access routes within the sanctuary. Be sure to launch and return to shore only within the designated harbors, and follow wildlife viewing guidelines.
